Centris Federal Credit Union Announces Management Promotions
OMAHA, Neb. – Centris Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Ann Helm, Executive Vice President, Chief Experience Officer, Tate Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer; Tera Schaecher, Senior Vice President, Corporate Operations; Heidi Weeks, Vice President, Real Estate; Sue Mohr, Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Production; Melissa Cornay, Vice President, Strategic Risk Management. The promotions will position Centris to continue focusing on five key areas of business that include Operational Excellence, Real Estate Lending, Credit Risk Management, Business Banking, and Auto Lending.
Helm has over 20 years of diverse leadership experience at Centris beginning in the Human Resources Department and most recently as Executive Vice President, Retail and Administration. Helm has been responsible for Retail (branches, contact center, digital banking strategy), Human Resources, Facilities and will now also lead Indirect Auto Lending in her new role. As Chief Experience Officer, Helm will work to ensure the entire organization is working together to deliver the best experience possible to the credit union’s members.
Fitzgerald has over 33 years of local banking experience and will lead the following departments: Corporate Operations, Community Development, Marketing and Technology Services at Centris. Most recently, he served as EVP, Chief Information Officer, leading the Technology Services team. Prior to Centris, Fitzgerald was Executive Vice President, Bank Technology and Operations for Mutual of Omaha Bank; Chief Administrative Officer at American National Bank where his responsibilities included Information Technology, HR, Retail Banking, Deposit and Loan Operations as well as Facilities.
Fitzgerald’s past experiences also includes Executive Vice President of National Mortgage Banking at Bank of the West and Director of Information Technology at Commercial Federal Bank. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and America’s Community Bankers National School of Banking at Fairfield University. Fitzgerald serves on the board of CUES (Christian Urban Education Services) Fund and is a member of the Executive Committee. He is also the Board Vice Chair for Madonna School & Community Based Services.
Schaecher has 26 years of banking experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Credit Administration for Centris since 2019. Previous to her career at Centris, Schaecher was Senior Vice President, Consumer Real Estate Division Operations Manager for Bank of the West. Schaecher has a strong project and process management background and will continue to build and maintain efficient and effective loan processes and operations for Centris. As part of her promotion, she will also lead the Consumer and Business Banking Processing Departments for the credit union. Schaecher is currently one of 35 Alumnae Co-Chairs of the College of St. Mary “Striding Forward Campaign”.
Weeks began her career in the mortgage industry in 1998 while living in Phoenix, Arizona. She joined the Centris mortgage team in April 2010 as a Lead Mortgage Loan Originator. In her ascent to Vice President Real Estate Lending, she has held the following positions: Mortgage Production Manager; Assistant Vice President Mortgage Services and Vice President Mortgage Services. Weeks has been an active member of the Nebraska Mortgage Association since 2011. She has also been a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) Omaha Chapter since 2010 and has served on the Executive Board as Treasurer as well as multiple committees. In 2015, Weeks was awarded WCR’s Strategic Partner of the Year.
Mohr, has over 20 years in the mortgage industry and joined the Centris team as Mortgage Operations Manager in 2021. Prior to Centris, Mohr spent nine years at Cobalt Credit Union where she was Vice President Real Estate Lending and Director, Mortgage and Business Development.
