CUNA Mutual Group Hires Alycia Slyck as Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary
Industry Veteran Brings Deep Experience in Financial Reporting and Product Development
MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Mutual Group announces the hiring of Alycia Slyck as senior vice president and chief actuary, effective Dec. 14. She will report to Laurie Winger, executive vice president and chief financial and product officer.
Slyck has an impressive insurance resume having previously served as vice president and chief actuary at Sagicor Life Insurance Company, Tampa, Florida, where she led both pricing and valuation of all product lines. Prior to that, she held roles at The Standard in Portland, Oregon and Manulife in Tokyo, Japan. In these roles, she oversaw financial reporting in both life and annuities, as well as product development.
“Alycia is a highly accomplished leader and has demonstrated a focus on driving collaboration and innovation throughout her career,” said Winger. “Her ability to uncover connections amongst cross-functional teams – from financial reporting to product development, to policy administration and customer care – makes her an ideal fit for our company at this exciting time in our history.”
Slyck earned her bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Florida State University. She is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She will initially work from her home office in Tampa, with long-term plans to relocate to the Madison area.
