Westerra Credit Union Appoints Chief Information Officer, Greg Glawson

DENVER, CO (October 15, 2025) – Making a thoughtful addition to its C-suite, Westerra Credit Union (Westerra) welcomed Greg Glawson as chief information officer (CIO) this month. Glawson will collaborate with each level of Westerra’s team to enhance the credit union’s member and employee services. Leading enterprise-wide initiatives, Glawson will be responsible for sharpening Westerra’s focus, prioritizing efficiency and delivering meaningful results.

“Greg has an extensive background in the credit union sector with an innate ability to translate complex technology into real-world outcomes,” said Todd Marksberry, president and CEO of Westerra. “His leadership will ensure our technology platforms are stable, scalable and aligned with our strategy, so every employee, no matter their role, can stay focused on what matters most: our members.”

Glawson, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the credit union industry, previously held senior leadership roles at Credit Union of Georgia and Georgia United Credit Union. Most recently, he served as CIO of UNIFY Financial Credit Union, pioneering digital transformation initiatives – including industry-leading digital banking experiences, advanced cloud migration and AI implementation – on a national scale. 

A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Glawson holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and information systems. He recently moved to Denver with his family and intends to contribute to Westerra’s mission of enriching lives through meaningful banking experiences.
