Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Announces Lauren Todd, Chief People Officer and Mark McDermott, AVP - Compliance
LOWELL, MA – Larissa C. Thurston, President and Chief Executive Officer at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, is pleased to welcome Lauren Todd as Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer and recognize the promotion of Mark McDermott to Assistant Vice President – Compliance.
Lauren Todd joins the organization with more than 20 years of industry experience. A proven strategic leader, Lauren is known for her expertise in Benefits and Compensation; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; community outreach; performance management; and career development.
Her work has focused on technology integrations, employee engagement, fostering cohesive workplace cultures, talent acquisition, retention strategies, developing cost-effective benefits programs, and driving change management initiatives. Additionally, Lauren has experience in property management, academia, and HR consulting. As Chief People Officer at Jeanne D’Arc, Lauren will lead the Human Resources and Learning and Development teams focusing on employee culture, development, and equity.
She has recently served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest, where she was an active member of the diversity, equity, and inclusion committee. Lauren earned her M.S. in Human Resource Management from Lesley University and a B.A. in Child Psychology and Counseling from Pine Manor College. She lives in Marlborough, MA with her husband, son and three doodle mix dogs.
Mark McDermott joined Jeanne D’Arc in 2023 and has over a decade of experience in Risk Management. In his newly-expanded role, McDermott will lead the Compliance and Operational Risk Management teams and will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and oversight of compliance and operational risk management policies, procedures, risk assessments, monitoring, and corrective action plans across the institution. He will also oversee the regulatory compliance disclosure and notice change management functions.
McDermott has earned numerous degrees, including a Master of Business Administration and Cyber Policy degree from Utica University and a Juris Doctor (JD) specializing in Business Law & Financial Services from Suffolk University. He currently resides in Concord, NH with his wife, children, and Golden Retriever.
