Valley First Credit Union Appoints Mary Roberts as New Chief Financial Officer
Credit union taps industry veteran to bolsters its executive and finance teams
MODESTO, Calif. – Valley First Credit Union, a leading member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative with $1.02 billion in assets, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mary Roberts as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Serving over 80,000 members in vibrant and diverse communities, Valley First is committed to enhancing its financial services under Roberts' expert accounting and finance leadership. Roberts brings a wealth of experience from her recent tenure at Eagle Community Credit Union, where she excelled as interim CEO. Prior to that, she demonstrated exceptional financial acumen and strategic vision during her eight years as CFO at Eagle Community Credit Union. Her extensive background and dedication to the credit union movement make her an invaluable addition to the Valley First family.
Bringing more than 40 years of accounting experience to her new role, Roberts joins Valley First with an extensive background. She has previously held leadership positions at Xceed Financial Credit Union, Vineyard Bank, American First Credit Union, and Southern California Bank. Roberts holds an MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She is also a distinguished graduate of the prestigious CUES CEO Institute.
