Nusenda Credit Union Announces New CMO and SVP

Amy Nigrelli, new Chief Marketing Officer at Nusenda Credit Union

Amy will oversee the departments of Marketing, Membership Development, and Community Relations.   She began on Dec. 1, 2020 and reports to Joe Christian, President/CEO.

Amy has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and operations, most recently at Credit Union National Association (CUNA) in Wisconsin. In her most recent role, she served as Chief Marketing & Digital Officer driving marketing operations, brand persona, digital strategy, and audience-content-channel strategies, while supporting enterprise-wide strategic plans. During her nine years at CUNA, she also served as Chief Marketing and Technology Officer, and VP of Marketing Communications. Prior to this role, she spent 15 years at a Top 20 Global Law Firm, McDermott Will & Emery LLP as Director of Marketing, and also held leadership roles in operations and human resources. There, she led projects for branding and communications, public relations, and operations, impacting over 150 attorney clients in the US, Europe, and China. Amy worked a stint in Moscow, Russia and speaks Russian fluently. Amy holds an Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Russian from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC.Amy is a Credit Union Development Educator and mentor and serves as chair of the DE Advisory Committee. She is a Madison sister society founder and member of the Global Women’s Leadership Network.

Jeff Benefiel, new Senior Vice President of Core Applications and Digital Innovations at Nusenda Credit Union

Jeff has nearly 20 years’ experience in development and information technology, most recently at Teachers Credit Union in Indiana ($3 billion in assets, 54 branches and over 300,000 members). In his most recent role, he served as the Vice President for Digital Delivery and Payments leading 6 teams supporting the digital transformation initiatives for the Credit Union. He was critical to the efforts in developing their Constellation Digital Services Platform, which Nusenda is also a partner of Jeff has also worked in ITM implementation and chatbot and live chat features. During his time with Teachers Credit Union, Jeff held additional positions of Vice President of Information Technology, Assistant Vice President of Systems and Data, and Assistant Vice President of Applications Development. He has led the development efforts for Business Systems and Analysis, Software Development, and Service Desk teams. Jeff Holds his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University. He holds certifications in ITIL Foundations, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer – Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) – SQL Server 2000 & 2005, and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) – Visual Basic 6.0. Jeff will oversee the departments of Business Transformations, Development, Data Integrations, eServices, and Core Systems. He began the week of Oct. 26, 2020 and reports to Kevin Murphy, Chief Information Officer.
