Ambitious, motivated professionals are always pursuing “a seat at the table.” They dream of the day their insights will have direct impact on their organizations’ strategies and successes. Unfortunately, some of these individuals will face a tough road on the way to that coveted seat. If management does not consider their functions to be strategic in nature, these aspiring leaders are rarely welcomed to the table. Such can be the fate of the credit union compliance officer.
